Community Responsibilities
Each gardener is responsible for logging in six hours of general maintenance work for the well-being of the entire garden, work days will be scheduled by the Garden Coordinator to ensure this is accomplished. This includes but is not limited to weeding common areas inside the garden, upkeep of the common area, or contributing to your garden community in your own special way. Hours are to be recorded in a provided binder in the garden shed to be reviewed by the Garden Coordinator. All gardeners are responsible for maintaining the common area in the center of the garden which includes: picnic table, bulletin board, and storage container.
The Badger Garden currently has a waitlist
The waitlist is maintained by the Community Services Department office. As plots become available, the first person on the waitlist will be contacted; they have 15 days to respond. If no response is given, they will be taken off the wait list and the next person on a waitlist will be contacted. A person on the waitlist will have one opportunity per year to refuse a plot; this person will be kept at the top of the list until the following year when another plot becomes available. If they refuse a plot a second time they will be taken off the waitlist.
In fairness to others on the waitlist, transferring and/or subletting plots to other individuals or households is not permitted. If you wish to be added to the waitlist, please contact the Community Services Department.
