We invite you to participate in the process as the City transitions to District-Based Elections. With District Elections, voters will elect a Councilmember who lives in and represents their specific district, replacing the current at-large voting system where all voters select every Councilmember.
Healdsburg has established the following tentative timeline to complete the transition. All of the following events will take place in the City Council Chambers at 401 Grove Street, Healdsburg, CA 95448:
- Monday, December 16, 2024: First public hearing @ 6:30 p.m.
- Monday, January 6, 2025: Second public hearing @ 6:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, February 18, 2025: Third public hearing (first maps hearing) @ 6:30 p.m.
- Monday, March 17, 2025: Fourth public hearing @ 6:30 p.m.
- Monday, April 7, 2025: Fifth public hearing (final vote) @ 6:30 p.m.
Please attend the public hearings on the above dates which will start at a time certain of 6:30 pm in the Council Chambers at 401 Grove Street, Healdsburg, CA 95448 to learn more about the transition to district elections. Please stay engaged throughout this process. Your participation is critical to assure the community's values and interests are reflected as district lines are drawn and a final map is ultimately selected.
Community Workshop
Join us for a community workshop on January 16, 2025 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at the Healdsburg Community Center, 1557 Healdsburg Avenue to learn about, discuss, and share your feedback on the City’s transition to district elections!
