The City of Healdsburg is seeking feedback on ways to improve transportation on Grove Street between Grant Street and Dry Creek Road for people walking, biking, taking transit, and driving. This 0.7 mile section of Grove Street includes senior housing, single family dwellings, multifamily dwellings, affordable housing units, large and boutique hotels, a skate park, and businesses. This variety of land uses fill the corridor with users with different types of abilities and interests, including youth and seniors. The project as proposed will construct continuous curbs, gutters, and sidewalks to provide safe pedestrian access to all.
The Grove Street Neighborhood Plan was adopted by City Council in February 2000, but the project was not implemented. Recent development in the area has constructed some of recommended Grove Street improvements and the City is applying for grant funds to complete the work. Before beginning design, the City is seeking the community’s input on the Neighborhood Plan to ensure it aligns with the vision and needs of the residents.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
As a part of the community engagement process, there will be a range of opportunities to offer feedback, including an interactive survey and a virtual community workshop.
