The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch and wind advisory for the North Bay through tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, January 17.
Based on the federal agency’s recommendations and out of an abundance of caution, The City of Healdsburg has opened a self-fill sand bag station at the Community Center (1557 Healdsburg Ave.) to give residents who live in areas prone to flooding the opportunity to protect their property.
The City is not expecting the rain to flood Foss Creek or the Russian River; however, staff is monitoring the weather to ensure the safety of our residents. We’ll provide updates throughout the day if changes in weather conditions are expected. More info: https://www.weather.gov/
