The City’s sidewalk system is a vital component of the public infrastructure. Consequently, a contractor for the City will perform sidewalk trip-hazard repair maintenance Wednesday, May 9 until Thursday, May 24. The contractor will work 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. from Powell Avenue in the north to South Healdsburg Avenue.
This work does not require demolition and re-paving – instead, the contractor will horizontally sawcut the affected sidewalks to eliminate possible trip hazards. The sidewalk-repair contract is for $100,000 and will be paid for with Measure V funds. Street maintenance and improving the safety of our public walkways are top priorities, according to Measure V public survey results.
