[ARCHIVED] Shred Identity Theft Event

As identity theft continues to be a growing problem nationwide, it is more important than ever for individuals to properly destroy documents that contain personal information by methods such as shredding. One of the methods thieves use to steal your information is combing through recycling and garbage for sensitive information that has been thrown away.

The Healdsburg Police Department and Healdsburg Rotary Sunrise have teamed up to help you avoid becoming a victim of identity theft and fraud. Bring your personal or sensitive documents to be shredded:

Old bank statements
Pre- Approved Credit card offers
Old medical records
Old Tax Records
Paycheck stubs
Anything with your personal or sensitive information

Limit of three boxes per vehicle. Service will be on a first come,
first served basis and limited to the capacity of one commercial-sized
shredding truck. Small Clips, and staples, do not need to be removed.

Officers from the Healdsburg Police Department will be on site
to provide expert advice and tips to prevent identity theft.

THIS IS A FREE EVENT, HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE ABLE, PLEASE
BRING A NON-PERISHABLE FOOD DONATION FOR THE FOOD PANTRY.
