Assuming parking meters are installed, incentivize those who work and park downtown to park 2 to 3 blocks away from the Central Plaza are. Do this by providing them with a credit of 25% of the parking fee rather than a charge. For example, if the parking fee is $1.00 per hour, issue them a credit of $0.25 per hour they park away from the plaza and walk to their place of work. The proposed meters will monitor and report their actual occupancy of the parking spot. They will register their first and last 4 digits of their credit card with the city for monitoring and credit purposes. This will be about $45 per month and will be funded by 25% of the fees collected on the meters which they free up for others to use around the Central Plaza.

A long time supporter (Community Representative in 2006) of the Farmers' Market and a 40-year resident of Dry Creek Valley, I believe the Cerri Building needs to come down and a tasteful parking lot put in place (option 3). The Saturday market is languishing for lack customers and the shortage of parking is central to the problem. The biggest challenge to the farmers is making and keeping their customers. Parking needs to be reasonable distance, in proximity to the market so customers may haul their purchases. Please create a reasonable setting for commerce; tear down the old building. The community's parking needs far outweigh the so-called iconic representation of that chemical warehouse.

Giving residents reserved parking would be a nice gesture -- and perhaps helpful at times.

Since the streetscape at the intersection of North and Center, in front of the "meat building" (which is what everyone calls it) comes so far into Center street, trucks utilizing the diagonal parking spaces there are coming too far out into the street. Is it possible to put "No Trucks" signs on the two spaces that are closest to the intersection? It is an unsafe situation because in order to turn onto Center from North one frequently has to go around the back end of a truck and into the other lane, where there may be oncoming traffic. Thank you for looking into this situation.
