Draft Housing Element Update - Now Available For Review 

The City of Healdsburg is in the process of updating the Housing Element of the City’s General Plan to ensure that we’re prepared to meet Healdsburg’s housing needs over the next eight years. 

The Housing Element serves as Healdsburg’s blueprint for meeting the housing needs of our current and future residents and workforce.

The Draft Housing Element Update is now available for public review until October 30, 2022. Comments may be submitted to housingelement@healdsburg.gov or mailed/delivered to Healdsburg City Hall (401 Grove Street) by Sunday, October 30, 2022.

2021 Power Content Label Now Available

The 2021 Power Content Label is now available and provides a breakdown of the types of electricity generated and supplied to Healdsburg Electric customers. The label compares the power mix of the Standard Rate and Green Rate to California's statewide power mix. Approximately 60% of the citywide energy Healdsburg supplied in 2021 was no or low-carbon, and projects are underway to provide an additional 14% of these sources by 2023. This week is also Public Power Week, and City of Healdsburg Electric Department is proud to be community-owned utility serving our friends and neighbors with the electricity we all rely upon!

Antelope Solar Project Now Online 

The City’s newest solar project, located in Lancaster California, came online last week and is now suppling additional solar generation to Healdsburg. Named the Antelope Expansion, the project will generate 17-megawatts of solar generation, of which Healdsburg is entitled to 2-megawatts. This new renewable energy source is expected to the provide Healdsburg with roughly 5.9-million kilowatt-hours of energy annually. This project will meet roughly 8% of citywide energy needs and helps continue Healdsburg's efforts towards cleaner energy.

Apply Now for Pathway to Income Equity

Now Accepting Applications! A coalition of local governments and community partners are coming together to launch a two-year pilot program that will provide $500 per month to 305 low-income families while studying the program's impacts on reducing poverty and promotes economic stability and mobility. Funding has been reserved for 50 families in the City of Healdsburg.

You must meet all eligibility requirements in order to be considered, including:

• Pregnant and/or taking care of a child under the age of 6
• Income below 185% of the federal poverty level
• Affected by COVID-19 (income loss, housing instability)
• Live in Sonoma County

Voter Information Now Available on
Measure L & Measure M

The City has launched public information pages on the two ballot initiatives that will appear on the November 8, 2022 Ballot. Measure L would amend and clarify the City’s existing Transient Occupancy Tax Ordinance. Measure M would establish a cannabis business tax on all cannabis sold in Healdsburg should the sale of cannabis become legal.
