The City of Healdsburg is pursuing several projects that will help to diversify our water supply and help us through future droughts. One project that generates a lot of questions is the recycled water pipeline expansion. The included infographic shows a snapshot of what we have envisioned.
The Municipal Recycled Water Pipeline will provide recycled water to some City Parks, the golf course, cemetery and some public school athletic facilities. Once complete the project will supply roughly 40 million gallons of water per year or about 6% of the City’s annual water needs.
The expected cost to complete the water pipeline is expected to fall between $10-$15 million. City staff have applied for grants from federal and state resources and are pending approval. The federal match range is from 25-50% of the project cost and the state match ranges between 0-25%. We hope to learn by the end of the year if we have been approved for the grant applications
