[ARCHIVED] The Grind - Skating Sculpture & Vibes

The Grind 5.20.17

The City of Healdsburg is partnering with the Voigt Family Sculpture Foundation on a special art and skating event, “The Grind”, on Saturday, May 20 from 10am – 3pm at the Carson Warner Memorial Skate Park, 1100 Grove Street in Healdsburg. The Grind will introduce art to youth in our community by blending skateboarding and music with art and metalsmith demonstrations.

As part of the event, the Voigt Family Sculpture Foundation will lead an unveiling of two new sculptures that will be installed on the Foss Creek Pathway. The sculptures, named “Curly” and “Cool Blue”, are being donated for the pathway by local homeowner Kerry Francis. The unveiling will occur on the pathway just south of the skate park at 1pm.

Activities at the Skate Park include skating demos, open skating, skate gear for sale, music and raffles. This is a free event and no registration is required. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
